I have a variety of creative skills under my belt. Of course, some of my skills are better than others. Nevertheless, I have successfully taken on multiple roles in the creative industry – most being in the broadcast and video production world.
I am determined to learn as much as possible in any industry I am in, whether it be through ‘formal’ education or ‘real-world’ experience. In an industry where many jobs are intertwined, I feel it is important to have a grasp of every part of the process.
And let’s be serious – It’s not like we are building a rocket ship.

HEADING SHORT FORM CONTENT
During my tenure at Astro, I oversaw the creation of short form content for both broadcast television as well as digital platforms. My team and I delivered a range of content, from reality shows & dramas, to live concerts and short films.
The team I managed created daily video content for the above-mentioned digital brands, often achieving viral-status with hundreds of thousands to millions of views per video. The success of the video content ultimately contributed to Astro Gempak’s number of YouTube subscribers and Facebook followers.

ASTRO BRANDED CONTENT & ORIGINAL IPs
Working closely with the media sales department, the team developed amazing stories and created branded content for a range of clientele. Each video campaign successfully exceeded ROI, with some videos even being a part of award winning and nominated campaigns.
Leading Gempak Studios, the team created strong IPs for both digital platforms and broadcast television – some of which saw success and monetary gains through sponsorships. These IPs include The House, Live +, and 3 Gadis Manis.
My role, as the Creative Director / Executive Producer, allowed me to ideate, allocate budgets, and assist in production and execution. Every now and then, I was even able to direct and edit some projects myself.

BOOTSTRAP MARKETING FOR SMEs
Starting my own business ventures, budgets for marketing are almost non-existent. Whatever cash we have needs to be directed to other important aspects of the business – one being media buy.
As a seasoned creative practitioner, I produce videos, illustrations and other marketing collaterals myself. Yes, they aren’t glamorous. However, most of what I do cost nothing while still achieving the desired outcomes.
ONE-MAN BAND & UTILISING CREATIVES TO INCREASE TRAFFIC & REVENUE
Not only did I self-code and produce all assets and content for flybear.com.my, but I have been developing my skills to drive more traffic to the website, ultimately leading to a large growth in lead generation.
Through the use of Google Tag Manager, Analytics and Facebook Pixel, the website has a steady growth of visitors, expanding the re-targeting audience and the size of high quality lookalike audiences.
LEE BURI PRODUCTIONS
CONNECTING TO THE CORPORATE WORLD
While Lee Buri Productions was established to handle any form of video content, we gained traction with corporate clients.
From social media videos to launch videos, my team and I told stories that resonated with its audience – and for an affordable price!
ON THE GROUND AND RUNNING
Although the production house was only allowed to open for a short period of time, we were able to churn out over 30 high quality videos within six months.

BFM MEDIA
A VIDEO DEPARTMENT BLOOMS
With a shoe-string budget and limited resources, I headed the growth of BFM’s video department.
Through my efforts, the range of video offerings expanded and general video quality increased dramatically – leading to an increase in engagement and viewership for the brand.
I also ended up becoming a host for the nightly segment, That Time of Night.
